Danielle & Zach’s Engagement Session at Porterhouse in El Segundo

Who says engagement photos have to be taken at the beach or in a park? Sometimes thinking a little outside the box can lead to something completely different, and that’s exactly what Danielle and Zach had in mind for their engagement session!

For their photos, they chose Porterhouse in El Segundo, California. They loved the industrial feel of the space and thought it would make a fun and unique backdrop for their engagement photos. I always enjoy when couples choose a location that reflects their personalities rather than going with something traditional, and this was a perfect example.

What I loved about their choice was how different it was from the usual Southern California engagement session. Instead of sandy beaches and ocean views, we had an industrial setting with its own character and atmosphere. It gave us an opportunity to play with the surroundings, try some different compositions, and create photos that felt a little less expected.

One of the things I always tell couples is that there’s no single right place to take engagement photos. Whether it’s somewhere you’ve spent a lot of time together or simply a location with a look you love, the best sessions are the ones that feel like you. Danielle and Zach embraced that idea and weren’t afraid to do something a little different.

Danielle and Zach, thank you for inviting me along for such a fun and creative engagement session! I loved getting to explore something outside the usual locations with you both.
