Abbey and Matt’s wedding at The Grove in Redlands was the perfect way to wrap up my year. It was my last wedding of December 2025, and honestly, it felt like a gift of an ending. Relaxed, joyful, and full of meaning. I’ve photographed two of Abbey’s brothers’ weddings over the years, so walking into this day felt familiar in the best way. There was an ease with her family, the kind that comes from shared history and trust. It always changes the pace of the day when everyone feels comfortable from the start.
The Grove was a great fit for Abbey and Matt’s boho vision. Soft neutral tones, greenery, dried textures, and warm light set the mood. Nothing felt forced. The design leaned toward a natural, effortless look, which let the setting and the people do most of the work. The mountains in the distance and rows of orange groves created a calm backdrop that carried through the entire day. Their ceremony took place outdoors with friends and family surrounding them. Abbey and Matt kept it personal and emotional without being heavy. There was a lot of laughter mixed in with the quiet moments, which felt true to who they are together.
As the sun dropped, the reception space came alive. String lights, candlelit tables, soft florals, and music carried the night forward. From heartfelt toasts to a packed dance floor, the energy stayed high without ever feeling rushed.
Ending the year with this wedding felt right. Abbey and Matt’s day had everything I love about photographing weddings. Connection, movement, family, and a sense of being exactly where you’re supposed to be. A strong finish to 2025, and a reminder of why I keep coming back to this work.
