It has been a wonderfully busy year and I had the good fortune to end the year of weddings on a high note by photographing Matt and Megan’s elopement in Joshua Tree. When these two first contacted me I was super excited, I love Joshua Tree and elopements so being able to combine the two is so very awesome.
Matt and Megan decided on the Hidden Valley area of Joshua Tree for their elopement, we found a little area surrounded by some very large rock formations that they liked for the ceremony, They celebrated their wedding with an intimate ceremony with their parents family and very close friends, some who traveled all the way from the UK. It was a beautiful ceremony with a lot of laugher and Joy.
I have to say ou of all the elopement days I have photographed that the weather on this day was a little on the crazy side, the day starting out cloudy, then clearing up a bit for the ceremony, before becoming a little on the windy side during family photos that we managed to finish just before a light rain shower started to fall only to pass 10 minutes later leaving us with a beautiful rainbow. None of this seemed to bother Matt and Megan, it was all smiles and good times for these two as we explored the rocky desert. It just made a fun day that was much more memorable.
I say this a lot that I absolutely love elopements, they are so stress-free for the couples and they always seem to have so much more fun on their wedding day. Matt and Megan congratulations and thank you so much for letting me be a part of this wonderful day. Cheer’s to you both.
