Big Sur Elopement Photographer | Kevin & Carly

Big Sur, California, is one of the most picturesque locations in the world, and it’s no surprise how popular it is for destination weddings and elopements. I had the pleasure of photographing Kevin and Carly’s elopement in Big Sur, and it was an experience that I will never forget.

I first met Kevin and Carly at a Starbucks coffee shop in Laguna Beach to discuss their wedding plans, and they mentioned that they were considering eloping to Big Sur. Without hesitation, I eagerly accepted their offer to be their elopement photographer. Big Sur is one of my favorite places to spend time in, and it’s a perfect spot for an intimate and private ceremony.

The day before the ceremony, my assistant and I met up with Kevin and Carly to scout out some locations for the next day. We stayed at Glen Oaks Big Sur, a picturesque location with redwood trees and cabins that added a rustic charm to their special day.

On the morning of the ceremony, we walked over to Carly and Kevin’s cabin, where they were writing their vows and getting ready. The ceremony occurred right outside the cabin with an officiant, and it was just the two of them. It was a beautiful and intimate moment that I was privileged to capture.

After the ceremony, we walked around the redwoods, taking photos before having cake and a champagne toast. We then took a break for lunch and headed over to Bixby Bridge for some iconic bridge photos before heading to a local beach for sunset. It was a breathtaking sight to see some whales swimming past us as we watched a beautiful sunset.

Elopements are always magical, and spending the day with Kevin and Carly was an absolute dream. Thank you for letting photograph such a awesome day.
